Lidl Portugal recalls Ocean Sea frozen maruca due to mercury

Lidl Portugal has issued a product recall for certain batches of ‘Maruca Congelada’ sold under the Ocean Sea brand due to safety concerns. A control analysis detected high levels of mercury in the product.

The recall affects three specific batches: 11922654, 11922855, and 11922939. Consumers who possess these specific batches are advised not to consume them and to return the product to any Lidl store in Portugal for a full refund. Notably, the retailer stated that customers can receive their money back even if they no longer have the original purchase receipt.
