Lidl prepares to open first stores in Bosnia and Herzegovina

German retailer Lidl is entering the final stages of preparation to begin operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to available information, the first stores are expected to open in March 2027.

As part of its market entry, the company has launched a large-scale recruitment drive for over 1,000 employees across more than 20 cities and municipalities, including Sarajevo, Mostar, Banja Luka, and Tuzla. The application deadline for sales positions is September 30.

Lidl is implementing a comprehensive training program for new staff, which includes both interactive theory and practical mentorship to prepare employees for the dynamic retail environment. While the exact opening dates for all locations are not yet finalized, the expansion will cover a wide network of cities throughout the country.
