Lidl promotions spark long queues in Turkey and Denmark

Lidl is launching two low‑price products that are expected to draw massive crowds. In Turkey the retailer will sell a portable mini fan for €5.99, featuring a 2‑in‑1 design, three speed settings, an adjustable head and a built‑in rechargeable battery. The company warned that kilometer‑long queues could form at its stores when sales begin.

In Denmark Lidl is introducing a two‑seat garden lounge priced at €94.99. The lounge includes a large, comfortable surface, a neck‑pillow cushion, two wheels for easy relocation, anti‑slip legs and an adjustable parasol for shade. Lidl also anticipates long lines at its Danish outlets as customers rush to purchase the item.

Both promotions are part of Lidl’s seasonal catalogue expansion aimed at meeting high summer demand for cooling and outdoor leisure products.
