Lidl promotions spark long queues in Turkey and Denmark

Lidl is offering a pack of five men's work socks from its Parkside brand for less than €5. The discounted socks, available in black and grey, are expected to draw kilometer‑long queues in Turkey as shoppers rush to buy them.

The retailer is also selling women's sports shoes priced under €7, featuring breathable mesh uppers and memory‑foam footbeds. The low‑price shoes have generated similar long lines in Denmark, with customers eager to take advantage of the discount.
