Lidl recalls Dubai‑style ice cream in Poland, Romania and Portugal over undeclared cashew allergen
Lidl has withdrawn a specific batch of its Gelatelli "Dubai Style" protein ice cream from shelves in several EU markets after the manufacturer Motido GmbH disclosed that the product may contain undeclared cashew nuts. The recall applies to lot D2W48J25R1 (expiry 24 Nov 2027) in Romania and Poland, and to four Polish batches (lots D2W48J25R2 to D5W48J25R2, expiry 24‑27 Nov 2027) identified by the Polish GIS. A Portuguese version of the product (1001 Delights brand) with the same flavour was also removed from stores, with expiry dates 4 and 5 Dec 2027. Consumers with a cashew allergy are advised not to consume the ice cream; other customers can continue to eat it safely. Lidl offers full refunds for the affected packages, even without a receipt, and asks buyers to return the items to any store.
