Lidl recalls Dalmatinska panceta due to Listeria contamination

Lidl Croatia has issued a product recall for ‘Dalmatinska panceta, narezak, 100 g’ produced by Mijukić-prom. The recall is due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that does not meet food safety microbiological criteria.

The specific product affected has an expiration date of December 15, 2026, and carries the lot number L918M0H. This recall applies exclusively to this specific batch and does not affect the entire Dalmatian panceta assortment.

Listeriosis can cause symptoms ranging from mild fever and digestive issues to severe complications such as meningitis, encephalitis, and sepsis. High-risk groups include pregnant women, newborns, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Lidl advises customers to return the product to any store for a full refund, even without a receipt.
