Lidl recalls Milbona protein pudding due to bacterial contamination

Lidl has initiated a widespread recall of Milbona High Protein Chocolate Pudding (200g) across multiple European countries, including Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia, due to potential contamination with Bacillus cereus.

The bacteria can cause food poisoning, with symptoms including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps. While typically short-lived, the infection can be more severe for high-risk groups such as infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

The recall specifically targets batches with the following expiration dates: - In Germany and Austria: 12.09.2026 - In Belgium, Hungary, Croatia, and other regions: 14.09.2026

Consumers are urged not to consume the affected products and to return them to any Lidl store for a full refund, even without a receipt. The supplier, Fude + Serrahn Milchprodukte GmbH & Co. KG, has issued the warning following the detection of the bacteria during quality controls.
