Lidl recalls Milbona protein pudding due to bacterial contamination

Lidl has issued a product recall for its Milbona High Protein chocolate pudding due to microbiological contamination. Quality controls detected traces of Bacillus cereus, a bacterium that can cause severe gastrointestinal illnesses.

The recall specifically affects the 200g chocolate-flavored pudding cups with a best-before date of September 12, 2026. Vulnerable groups, including pregnant women and individuals with weakened immune systems, are at higher risk of complications from consuming the contaminated product.

Customers are advised not to consume the affected pudding and can return it to any Lidl store for a full refund, even without a receipt. The manufacturer, Fude + Serrahn Milchprodukte GmbH & Co. KG, has issued a warning regarding the specific batch.
