Emei Professora Daniela Ferreira Colman launches Solidarity Boutique

The Emei Professora Daniela Ferreira Colman school in São Conrado has established a permanent 'Boutique Solidária' (Solidarity Boutique) to support its community. Originally conceived as a seasonal clothing drive, the initiative has evolved into a dedicated space featuring a storefront and mirrors to provide a dignified shopping experience for those in need.

Since its launch on April 28, the project has assisted over 100 families. The boutique offers a variety of items, including clothing, footwear, toys, household utilities, and baby equipment such as car seats and crib mattresses. The initiative was proposed during a parents' meeting and was brought to life by Silvanir dos Santos, an early childhood education assistant.

School director Mériely Nóbrega noted that the project has strengthened the school community by encouraging cooperation and providing a vital support network. The boutique is open to both school families and local residents, operating on a simple model where those in need can select items and those wishing to help can donate goods in good condition.
