Lidl and Biedronka roll out new discount promotions across Poland
Polish discount chains have launched extensive summer promotions. Biedronka’s weekly offers feature "2 + 1 free" deals on yogurt Skyr, a 40% discount on Delikate cheeses, 72% off Kraina Wędlin sausages, and deep‑discount coffee and chocolate, with many items marked as "2 + 1" or "3 + 1" specials.
Lidl’s campaign targets heat‑wave shoppers, adding an 800 W ice‑cream maker for 399 zł, a 2 000 W air‑fryer for 139 zł with a coupon, handheld vacuum cleaners, a Bluetooth speaker, and a compact USB‑C fan priced from 15,99 zł. The retailer also highlights that several staple products (e.g., Vanish Oxi Action, Perwoll, Nestlé Sinlac, Lovela Baby) are cheaper on the Allegro marketplace than in its own stores, with price gaps ranging from 8% to 25%.
In the Czech market, an analysis shows Lidl’s regular prices still undercut competitor Biedronka, while Allegro offers further discounts on bulk household items. Together, the promotions aim to attract price‑sensitive consumers during the summer months across Poland and neighboring markets.
