Lidl România reports 19.2 billion euro socio-economic impact
Lidl România has reported a total socio-economic impact of 19.2 billion euros during its 15 years of operation in the country, spanning from 2011 to 2025. According to an analysis conducted by KPMG, the retailer has contributed 3.9 billion euros to the state budget and directed 16.4 billion euros toward Romanian suppliers.
Over the analyzed period, the company worked with more than 3,300 local suppliers. The retailer's activities also supported over 679,000 full-time equivalent jobs annually. Alberto Chueca, CEO of Lidl România, stated that the company aims to continue investing in Romania to stimulate national economic growth.
