Lidl sells discounted cordless hedge trimmer as gardeners favor DIY tomato fertilizer
Lidl will offer a Parkside cordless hedge trimmer at a 13 % discount, priced at 12,999 HUF, starting on 9 May. The battery‑free model uses the X20V system, allowing owners to share a single battery with other Parkside tools. It features a laser‑cut blade, safety switch and roughly 50 cm cutting length, aimed at home gardeners who want quick, clean hedge maintenance.
At the same time, home gardeners are advised to boost tomato yields with inexpensive homemade feeds. A yeast‑sugar solution, prepared by mixing warm water, a pinch of yeast and sugar and letting it sit for a few hours, can be applied every 10–15 days after watering. Adding a handful of clean wood ash to the soil supplies potassium and phosphorus. Growers are also reminded to water deeply but less frequently, prune excess foliage, and apply feeds in early morning or evening to reduce evaporation.
