Lidl expands into Bosnia and Herzegovina and launches new lifestyle products
Lidl is executing several strategic initiatives across Europe, including a major market entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina. The retailer is currently recruiting over 1,100 sales associates across 21 cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering benefits such as permanent contracts from day one. Economists suggest this expansion could significantly impact the local retail sector by increasing competition and potentially stabilizing prices, while also creating new opportunities for domestic producers.
In marketing, Lidl has launched a viral lifestyle campaign tied to Paris Fashion Week, featuring the ‘NeckCroissant’—a travel pillow designed to look like its signature bakery croissant. This limited-edition item is being rolled out across 25 European countries, including Croatia and Poland.
Additionally, the company is expanding its product portfolio with the launch of ‘Max & Mila’s World,’ a unified brand for pet care. The new line for dogs and cats features three distinct quality levels to simplify consumer choice. In other regions, Lidl continues to drive sales through seasonal promotions on apparel, household electronics, and specialized tools.
