Italian municipalities reopen renovated municipal pools for summer season
The Lido Manazzon in Trento reopened on 19 June after a €12 million renovation co‑financed by the municipality and the PNRR, with Mayor Franco Ianeselli cutting the ribbon. The facility now features a new outdoor lido, indoor pools, updated changing rooms and service areas, and will operate daily through September with variable opening hours.
On the same day, the Lido di Trento opened its 50‑metre Olympic pool and a 25‑metre pool for public use, offering swimming lessons, sports activities and leisure areas from 09:00 to 19:00.
The municipal pool at the Trabattoni sports centre in Seregno (Brianza) welcomed visitors on 20 June, adding a “Summer Fitness” programme of 30‑minute training sessions, expanded bar services, and extended opening times throughout the week.
In Prato, the city’s public pool remains closed while works continue on the children’s pool, new restroom facilities and a rehabilitative pool, with local officials promising an accelerated timeline.
The pool complex in Tiferno is scheduled to reopen on 25 June after a €1.6 million upgrade that includes a new water‑filtration system, energy‑efficiency improvements and seismic reinforcement, marking the return of full summer programming for the community.
