Lidya Pınar sparks social media debate over unfiltered images

Lidya Pınar, a member of the Turkish music group Manifest, has become a subject of social media debate following the circulation of unfiltered and makeup-free images of her.

The images have divided social media users into two distinct groups. One segment of followers has praised Pınar for her natural appearance, describing it as sincere and beautiful. Conversely, other users have directed harsh criticism toward both her appearance and the musical performance of the group.

Manifest is a rising girl group in Turkey, performing in the pop, dance, and R&B genres. The group consists of members Esin Bahat, Lidya Pınar, Mina Solak, Sueda Uluca, Hilal Yelekçi, and Zeynep Sude Oktay. Pınar, who studies Russian Language and Literature at Yeditepe University, has a background in piano, solfege, and musical theater.
