Lidzbark Warmiński secures 8.4 million PLN for health resort park

Lidzbark Warmiński has secured over 8.4 million PLN in EU funding to reconstruct and expand the Doliny Symsarny Forest Health Park. The total investment is valued at 10 million PLN, with the remaining costs covered by the city's own contribution.

The project, part of the European Funds for Warmia and Mazury 2021–2027 program, aims to enhance the city's infrastructure as it officially gains health resort status on January 1, 2026. Planned improvements include the renovation of pedestrian and bicycle paths using natural materials, the installation of small architecture elements, and the creation of dedicated spaces for recreation and therapy, such as a sensory path and a kinesitherapy complex.

Additionally, the municipality of Miłomłyn has received significant support for water-related and recreational projects. This includes 4.53 million PLN for the development of the Ilińsk Lake waterfront, which will feature a boardwalk path over the water, new piers, and a lookout tower. Furthermore, approximately 2.55 million PLN has been allocated to protect the shores of the Elbląg Canal and organize tourist traffic in the area.
