Liebherr LRB 19 rig used for rapid sheet piling in Germany

Heisig Spezialtief- und Wasserbau GmbH successfully utilized the Liebherr LRB 19 piling and drilling rig to complete a short-term project in Clenze, Lower Saxony. The task involved constructing a temporary sheet pile box for a new grain silo under constrained site conditions.

Using the LRB 19 equipped with a Liebherr LV 23 vibrator, the company installed 36 double sheet piles to a depth of approximately 10 meters. The entire operation was completed in three days, with an average vibration time of five minutes per pile.

Jan ter Beek, a manager at Heisig, highlighted the machine's efficiency for smaller projects, noting that the rig can be ready for operation within one hour. Additionally, the equipment's compact design allows for transport weighing under 60 tonnes, or under 40 tonnes with the counterweight removed, enabling transport via company low-loaders without requiring heavy load permits.
