Liebherr to showcase MLTB 1025-4. 1 recovery vehicle at DVD 2026

Liebherr will showcase its new MLTB 1025-4. 1 heavy recovery vehicle at the Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) 2026 event, held on 16 and 17 September at UTAC Millbrook in the United Kingdom. The vehicle is designed for tactical and operational-level recovery, towing, and lifting of both wheeled and tracked vehicles in restricted terrain.

The MLTB 1025-4. 1 features a robust 8x8 architecture powered by a 400 kW diesel engine and a 12-speed ZF transmission. Key technical specifications include a hydraulic telescopic crane that extends to 20.9 meters with a maximum lifting capacity of 22.8 tons, and an underlift capable of lifting damaged vehicles up to 16 tons. For towing, it can handle vehicles with a total weight of up to 48 tons.

A central feature is the integration of two rear-mounted Rotzler recovery winches with capacities of 80 kN and 200 kN. These winches can be synchronized and remotely controlled to allow for precise recovery while reducing operator exposure in high-threat environments. The vehicle also offers optional armored configurations for the driver and crane cabins to enhance crew protection.

In addition to the recovery vehicle, Liebherr will present the LPO 100 mobile energy storage system, intended for autonomous power supply.
