Liedolsheim hosts GTC championship finale

The GTC season concluded with a high-stakes finale in Liedolsheim, featuring 7-hour and 5-hour races to determine the 29th GTC champion. Entering the event, the defending champion from ZAP153 held leads of 10 points over Honda Spirit and 22 points over Cinquanta Corse.

During qualifying for the 7-hour race, Honda Spirit secured pole position on a wet track. The ZAP teams faced significant setbacks when a faulty scale led to their lap times being voided due to underweight issues, placing them at the back of the field.

In the 7-hour race, Honda Spirit and ATW Racing established a strong lead, alternating the top position and building a significant gap over the rest of the field. While Cinquanta Corse maintained third place, the ZAP teams began a recovery effort to move into the top ten.
