Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Leads Security Review in Jammu & Kashmir

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high‑level security review meeting in Srinagar, attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dullo, DGP Nalin Prabhat and other senior officials. The meeting examined overall security across Jammu & Kashmir, ordered audits of standard operating procedures for migrant workers, stressed insurance coverage and police registration, and called for intensified anti‑terror operations. It also addressed dignified rites for victims of the recent Kulgam terror attack and reviewed security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra.

Later, speaking at the Army War College in Mhow, Sinha urged forces to be ready for the challenges of asymmetric warfare and highlighted a whole‑of‑government counter‑terrorism strategy. He noted the transformation of Jammu & Kashmir over the past six years, the need for governance to reach every remote household, and the importance of data‑driven precision alongside conventional operations.
