Life sentences handed in Liridona Ademaj murder case in Pristina

The Basic Court in Pristina sentenced Naim Murseli and Granit Plava to life imprisonment and Kushtrim Kokalla to 30 years in prison for the murder of Liridona Ademaj. The court found the killing was pre‑planned and disguised as a robbery, driven primarily by the desire to profit from a life‑insurance policy worth 3,000,000 Swedish krona and by personal motives.

According to the July 6, 2026 judgment, Murseli organized the crime, paid Plava €30,000 and supplied a Zastava firearm bought for €280. The weapon was used to shoot Ademaj on 25 June 2022. The court’s detailed ruling confirmed the conspirators’ agreement and the financial incentive behind the murder.
