LifeCell Farma develops guava-based formula for weight management

Research into the metabolic benefits of guava is increasing, particularly regarding its fiber and flavonoid content. Scientific studies have explored how guava affects satiety, blood sugar responses, and body mass index. A 2016 study published in the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research examined the effects of daily guava consumption on 45 healthy adults over six weeks, focusing on blood sugar, blood lipids, and BMI.

Additionally, research published in the journal Nutrients investigated the impact of guava fruit extract on post-meal blood sugar levels, noting that certain extracts could reduce glucose spikes following carbohydrate consumption.

Building on these scientific findings, LifeCell Farma has announced the development of a guava-based formula designed for weight management. The company claims that its 30-gram formula can support satiety for up to four hours by utilizing water-soluble guava fibers that create a gel-like structure in the stomach. The goal of this approach is to slow carbohydrate absorption, reduce blood sugar fluctuations, and help control cravings.
