SPEXA Satellite exhibition to explore space data centers

The SPEXA Satellite exhibition will be held at Makuhari Messe from October 21 to 23 as part of the AI Infrastructure and Data Center EXPO. The event focuses on the concept of ‘space data centers,’ which utilize outer space as a computing foundation.

As demand for data centers grows due to the spread of generative AI, challenges such as power supply, cooling, and communication are increasing. In response, technical development is progressing to perform data processing in orbit using satellites and space stations. The event will feature conferences and exhibitions involving companies from sectors including AI, telecommunications, semiconductors, and cloud services to introduce the latest trends in space-based computing technology.
