Lifestyle habits impact hunger levels and heart health

Common lifestyle habits and daily routines significantly impact hunger levels and long-term cardiovascular health. Experts highlight several physiological and behavioral triggers that affect well-being.

Regarding nutrition, hunger can be triggered by skipping meals, consuming unbalanced diets, or intense physical training without proper post-workout nutrition. Stress and dehydration are also major factors; individuals often mistake thirst for hunger or use food to cope with emotional distress. Additionally, lack of sleep can disrupt appetite regulation, leading to unnecessary calorie intake.

From a cardiovascular perspective, cardiologist Christopher Broyd warns that heart health is undermined by subtle, repetitive habits rather than just major incidents. Key risks include chronic sleep deprivation, insufficient exposure to daylight, loneliness, prolonged sitting, and constant stress. These factors can gradually alter bodily functions and increase the strain on the heart over time.
