Lifetime film ‘Angel in the Rubble’ depicts 9/11 survivor Genelle Guzman

The Lifetime biographical drama ‘Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story’ follows the survival of New York City transit worker Genelle Guzman after being buried under the North Tower debris during the 9/11 attacks. Guzman, who was employed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was the last person rescued after being trapped for over 27 hours.

The film depicts the support of her partner, Roger McMillan, during her recovery. Following the attacks, the couple married in a civil ceremony in November 2001 and held a larger wedding ceremony in July 2002.

At the film's New York City premiere, television personality Sherri Shepherd attended the event. Shepherd, who has shared her personal health journey regarding type 2 diabetes and weight loss, appeared at the screening of the production.
