Lifetime to premiere true story of Sarah Harris and Dr. James Ryan

Lifetime is set to premiere ‘A Doctor to Die For: The Sarah Harris Story’ on Saturday, Oct. 3. The film is based on the true story of Sarah Harris, a young woman from suburban Maryland whose relationship with an oral surgeon, Dr. James Ryan, turned abusive and deadly.

According to the film's narrative, Ryan used surgical-grade drugs to keep Harris compliant and dependent on him. Following her death from a drug overdose, Harris’s mother, Tina, and her sister, Rachel, sought to uncover the truth behind the circumstances of her passing and hold those responsible accountable.
