Lifezone Metals Limited has confirmed that negotiations are at an advanced stage with the Orion Critical Mineral Consortium (Orion CMC) regarding a significant equity investment in its Kabanga Nickel Project in Tanzania.

The Orion CMC is a global investment platform established by Orion Resource Partners in partnership with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and Abu Dhabi’s sovereign investor, ADQ.

Lifezone Metals is currently conducting a competitive process, led by Standard Chartered Bank, to secure strategic investment for the project. The Kabanga Nickel Project is considered one of the world’s largest and highest-grade development-ready nickel sulfide deposits. The company intends to use its Hydromet Technology to produce nickel, copper, and cobalt for the global battery metals market while supporting in-country beneficiation in Tanzania.
