LIFT Center in Charleston seeks manufacturing tenant

The LIFT Center, a $20 million manufacturing project in Charleston, West Virginia, is scheduled for completion in November. Located on the site of the former Kanawha Manufacturing Plant, the 55,000-square-foot facility sits on eight acres and features both rail and truck access.

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito recently toured the site to assess progress and assist in attracting a major employer. While the project was originally conceived to focus on healthy food production and green technologies, its scope has shifted toward advanced manufacturing or the energy industry.

The project was part of a broader $100 million grant initiative aimed at revitalizing coalfield communities in West Virginia. Construction of the center has already created 50 jobs.
