South American football: Trinidense, Limache secure key victories

In Paraguayan football, Sportivo Trinidense secured a 3-0 victory against Sportivo Ameliano in Villeta during the 2026 Torneo Clausura. Clementino González opened the scoring with a header in the 22nd minute. Following the red card of Ameliano's Marcelo Camargo in the 54th minute, Trinidense capitalized with goals from Luis Abreu and Faustino Barone.

In Ecuador, Liga de Quito and Mushuc Runa played to a 0-0 draw in the Liga Ecuabet. Despite Mushuc Runa's efforts to control passages of the game, neither side could find the net. The result leaves Liga de Quito in 5th place and Mushuc Runa in 7th.

In Chile, Deportes Limache defeated Ñublense 2-0 in a pending match of the Liga de Primera. Goals from Daniel Castro and an own goal by Osvaldo Bosso moved Limache to 7th place, keeping them in contention for international tournament qualification.
