Liga Deportiva Universitaria rejects Sports Corporation model

Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito (LDU) is navigating internal institutional changes and potential roster reinforcements. Geovanny Paredes, a director at the club, stated that the transition to a 'Sociedad Anónima Deportiva' (Sports Corporation) model is not a viable option for the institution following legal consultations.

As the club approaches upcoming elections, Paredes noted that no other candidacies have emerged to challenge the list led by Isaac Álvarez. The club is also evaluating its squad performance; following underwhelming results from certain players, the club is reportedly considering the signing of midfielder Sergio Vásquez from Orense to strengthen the lineup for the Copa Libertadores and Copa Ecuador.
