Gilberto Mora scores twice to lead Xolos de Tijuana past Pumas

Gilberto Mora led Xolos de Tijuana to a 2-0 victory over Pumas UNAM during Matchday 6 of the Apertura 2026 tournament at Estadio Caliente. Mora scored both goals via penalty kicks in the second half, converting in the 53rd and 81st minutes against goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

The match was tightly contested in the first half, with Pumas showing offensive pressure through Uriel Antuna and Víctor Arteaga, but Tijuana's goalkeeper Antonio Rodríguez made key saves to maintain a clean sheet. The momentum shifted in the second half when Mourad El Ghezouani drew a foul in the box, leading to Mora's first goal.
