Liga MX clubs active in Apertura 2026 transfer market
Activity continues in the Liga MX Apertura 2026 transfer market. Club América has signed Colombian striker Miguel Ángel Borja from the United Arab Emirates. Borja, 33, is expected to sign a contract through 2028. This move follows a failed negotiation between the player and Cruz Azul.
Club América owner Emilio Azcárraga explained that the decision to hire manager Guillermo Almada to replace André Jardine was driven by a desire to integrate more young players into the squad. Almada has already begun his tenure with the team.
Meanwhile, Monterrey officials, led by Dennis te Kloese, stated that while the club is satisfied with recent signings including Esteban Andrada, Diego Rossi, Orbelín Pineda, and Hugo Cuypers, they remain open to further moves as long as the transfer window remains open.
