Liga Nacional Juvenil expands participation in Sinaloa

The Liga Nacional Juvenil is set to begin its 2026-2027 season in the Sinaloa Zone with record participation. Over 60 teams from various municipalities, including Culiacán, Mazatlán, Ahome, Salvador Alvarado, and Elota, will compete in the Sub-11, 13, 15, and 17 categories.

Miguel Ángel Félix, president of the Asociación de Futbolistas Organizados del Estado de Sinaloa A.C., noted that Culiacán will host the highest number of teams. The tournament, endorsed by the amateur sector of the Mexican Football Federation, will feature Clausura and Apertura cycles. Winners will advance to regional phases to compete for a spot in the national stage held in Toluca, Estado de México.
