Brazil infrastructure: Roadworks and maintenance projects announced across multiple regions

Various infrastructure and maintenance projects are underway across several Brazilian regions. In Rio de Janeiro, CET-Rio has announced scheduled road closures and tunnel maintenance, including the Rebouças Tunnel, Zuzu Angel Tunnel, and the Elevado das Bandeiras, to facilitate revitalization and cleaning services.

In Paraná, the EPR Litoral Pioneiro has completed slope containment works on the BR-277 to improve traffic safety. Meanwhile, Curitiba is implementing the Novo Inter 2 project, which involves paving works on General Mário Tourinho that may impact traffic for approximately 60 days. In Cabo Frio, revitalization efforts have begun on the Tamoios waterfront to modernize kiosks and create new leisure areas.

Other significant developments include the DNIT identifying drainage issues causing road subsidence on the BR-324 in Simões Filho, and ANTT authorizing a project review for the Morro dos Cavalos tunnel on the BR-101 Sul in Santa Catarina. Additionally, the municipality of Altamira has launched the second stage of its waterfront urban renewal, and Rio de Janeiro has opened registration for street carnival blocks for 2027.
