Liga-SP July Festival Praised for Organization and Performances

The Liga-SP hosted its traditional Festa Julina on Saturday at São Paulo’s Fábrica do Samba, condensing the event into a single day due to scheduling conflicts and the World Cup. The main attraction was a nearly two‑hour performance by pagode singer Péricles, followed by appearances from samba schools—including Unidos de Vila Maria, Dragões da Real, Barroca Zona Sul, and others—alongside sertanejo, forró, and quadrilha shows.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of typical foods, a kids’ area, and a market selling carnival‑related products. Admission required a donation of a coat in good condition or 1 kg of non‑perishable food. Organizers highlighted interactive decorations featuring sculptures of northeastern‑themed carnival allegories. Both the event president and participants praised the smooth organization, reduced queues, and diverse cultural programming.
