Liga U basketball competition returns for new season

The Liga U basketball competition, a tournament for U22 reserve teams created by the ACB, the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB), and the Higher Sports Council (CSD), is beginning its new season.

Fundación CB Canarias will make its second appearance in the league, starting with an away game against Casademont Zaragoza. The team, led by Ronald Cómez, enters the season with a renewed roster, including the return of Luca Medal and Saúl Rodríguez, following a preseason that included victories against RC Náutico.

In Group B, Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre will debut against Obradoiro U22 under the direction of head coach Mikel Ereño. The Unicaja squad features a mix of returning players and new additions, including several junior players from Los Guindos. The competition structure remains unchanged, with the leader of Group B earning promotion to Group A at the end of the first phase.
