LigaPro president Miguel Ángel Loor calls for balance in football criticism

Miguel Ángel Loor, president of LigaPro, has called for a balance between criticism and recognition within Ecuadorian football to protect the industry's image for investors and brands. His comments follow public disputes between Liga de Quito and the league organization.

The tension arose after Hernán Echeverría, a lawyer for Liga de Quito, questioned various aspects of a match against Guayaquil City. The club filed a formal complaint with the Disciplinary Committee regarding poor conditions in the visiting locker room, security concerns, and the presence of Pool Gavilánez in the dressing room despite a suspension.

Loor acknowledged that clubs have the right to criticize LigaPro to identify and solve problems. However, he noted that while negative issues are frequently publicized, positive developments and successful management often remain private, which he believes can harm the overall perception of the competition.
