Light art festivals scheduled for Naantali and Savonlinna
Two Finnish cities are preparing for autumn light art festivals. In Naantali, the Lux Gratiae festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary from October 22 to 25, 2026. The event features light and sound installations in Kirkkopuisto created by domestic and international artists, as well as a light art route on Puistotie involving local students. The program includes concerts, nature experiences, and local history presentations.
Savonlinna will host the 'Valon sillat' (Bridges of Light) weekend from November 13 to 15, 2026. This event is part of the 'Savonlinna loistaa' initiative and the city's 'Year of Cultural Dreams.' The festival will offer light art, projections, and experiences accessible from both land and water, including light art cruises on Lake Saimaa featuring works by artist Marko Häkkinen.
