Light-based therapy technology expands into home skincare and recovery

Advancements in light-based therapy are bringing clinical-grade treatments into the home for skincare and physical recovery.

iRestore has released the Laser Face Mask Pro, a medical-grade device designed to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. The mask utilizes a matrix of 800 lasers and LEDs across eight distinct wavelengths to penetrate dermal layers and stimulate collagen and elastin production. The device is designed for 10-minute sessions and is rechargeable and wireless.

Beyond skincare, red light therapy (RLT) is being utilized for muscle recovery and general wellness. Devices such as the Recharge Health FlexBeam provide targeted red and near-infrared light to alleviate pain and expedite muscle and joint recovery. These technologies work at a cellular level by stimulating mitochondria to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which aids in the body's natural repair processes.
