Light & Wonder announces leadership transition at SciPlay

Light & Wonder has announced a leadership transition within its social casino division, SciPlay. Josh Wilson will step down as Chief Executive Officer on October 30, 2026, following the conclusion of his contract term. Light & Wonder CEO Matt Wilson expressed gratitude for Josh Wilson’s 20-plus years of service, noting his role in the company’s initial public offering and the development of its social casino content portfolio.

The company has launched a formal search for a permanent successor. In the interim, Oliver Chow, the Chief Financial Officer of Light & Wonder, will assume executive oversight of SciPlay effective November 1, 2026. Chow will maintain his current role as CFO while working with SciPlay’s existing leadership team to manage day-to-day operations.

SciPlay will continue to operate as a distinct reporting segment within Light & Wonder, and the company stated there will be no changes to its current strategy regarding social casino brand development and player engagement.
