Lightning strike destroys family home in Vrnčani, Serbia

A lightning strike during a severe storm destroyed a family home in the village of Vrnčani, near Gornji Milanovac, Serbia. The fire, which lasted approximately thirty minutes, reduced the house to ashes.

The Pavlović family, including Darko Pavlović, his wife Milica, their two young children aged three and five, and Darko's parents, were all inside or nearby when the incident occurred. Milica Pavlović reported that she was alone with the children when the smoke began to fill the house, forcing them to flee quickly to safety.

Darko Pavlović arrived at the scene while the house was already engulfed in flames. Although neighbors attempted to assist and firefighters arrived with two trucks, the fire spread too rapidly to save the structure. The family has lost all their belongings and their residence.
