Lightning strike kills 95 sheep in Çashkë Municipality

A lightning strike in the Çashkë Municipality killed 95 sheep belonging to shepherd Tasim Useinov on September 2. The incident occurred around 19:30 in the Jakupicë mountain area, approximately 500 meters below the Solunska Glava peak, during a storm that affected parts of the Veles region.

Useinov, a 37-year-old from the village of Jabollçishtë e Epërme, was not with the flock at the time of the strike. The total flock consisted of approximately 1,200 sheep. The Association of Sheep Breeders has requested assistance for the shepherd, and the Ministry of Agriculture has stated it will examine possibilities to provide aid to help him continue his livestock activities.
