Lightware expands AV solutions for educational institutions
Lightware has expanded its audiovisual (AV) product portfolio specifically designed for educational environments, including classrooms, seminar rooms, lecture halls, and campus-wide installations.
New additions to the lineup include a USB-C variant of the Gemini GVN series for direct notebook connectivity in collaboration areas, the Rack Taurus 1-HE device for centralized installations, and a GPIO button for simplified room control. For large-scale deployments such as auditoriums and divisible classrooms, the company introduced the Taurus-TPN ecosystem. This system utilizes SDVoE technology to transmit AV signals over 10-Gbit/s networks.
Leiden University in The Hague serves as a practical example of this technology in use, employing Taurus-UCX systems across various learning areas. Additionally, Lightware is increasing its educational support through the Lightware Academy, which offers free ProAV e-learning courses, and a dedicated grant program.
