Lignano Sabbiadoro and Barrea highlight Italian coastal and natural tourism

Lignano Sabbiadoro has developed a significant nautical vocation, utilizing its strategic position between the Adriatic Sea, the Marano Lagoon, and the Tagliamento River. The area offers over 5,000 berths across seven tourist ports, including the Consorzio Marine Lignano hubs: Darsena Porto Vecchio, Marina Punta Faro, Marina Punta Verde, and Porto Turistico Marina Uno. These facilities have held the Blue Flag for service quality since 1990. Additionally, the FVG Marinas circuit connects major ports across Friuli Venezia Giulia, facilitating itineraries along 130 kilometers of coastline.

In the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park, the town of Barrea serves as a key location for observing the Apennine chamois. The region's limestone walls and ecological corridors provide essential habitat for the species. Optimal sightings typically occur during dawn and twilight, as the animals move between high pastures and lower slopes during these thermal transitions.
