Lignano Sabbiadoro hosts record Italian gymnastics championships
Lignano Sabbiadoro will host the 2026 Italian National Artistic Gymnastics Championships from 8‑18 June at the Palasport Bella Italia. A record 3,317 athletes will compete over eleven days, contesting more than a thousand medals across six technical levels, seven age categories and eleven regional groups. Lombardy provides the largest delegation with over a thousand gymnasts, followed by Trento, Emilia‑Romagna, Veneto and Lazio. Three clubs each entered more than one hundred athletes – Polisportiva Energym Bologna (165), Gyminca 2009 Mantova (130) and S.P.S. Primavera Buttapietra (111). The program combines individual apparatus events with a “Ginnastica Insieme” team competition featuring 87 formations.
At the same time, Saluzzo gymnastics competed in the Italian Team Championships in Folgaria from 5‑7 June. The Open squad (Aurora Bollati, Noemi Chiapello, Desiré Covarrubia, Asia, Giorgia Veras Ortiz) qualified for the final of 12 teams and finished in 10th place, confirming the club’s standing at the national level. Their Allieve and Giovanile teams also participated, ending in mid‑table positions.
