Lignano Sabbiadoro to host Fake News Festival Summer Edition

The Fake News Festival 2026 – Summer Edition is coming to Lignano Sabbiadoro to promote critical thinking through culture, science, and satire. Supported by the Municipality of Lignano, the event aims to educate young people and the general public on the dangers of disinformation.

On Saturday, September 26, the festival will host a session titled ‘C’è qualcuno là fuori?’ (Is there someone out there?) in Piazza Marcello D’Olivo. The discussion will focus on UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and the distinction between scientific reality and misinformation. The event features scientific communicator Adrian Fartade and the editorial team from the satirical outlet Lercio, with moderation by Alice Morettin of Prisma APS.

In the event of bad weather, the gathering will move to the PalaPineta on Lungomare Alberto Kechler. Admission is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
