Ligue 1+ expands French football broadcasting coverage

The LFP's streaming platform, Ligue 1+, is expanding its coverage for the 2026-2027 season. The service will now broadcast all nine matches of each Ligue 1 matchday, representing a 30% increase in matches offered. The platform is also reintroducing a Saturday night multiplex, which will feature up to four simultaneous matches.

In addition to Ligue 1, the platform has expanded to include the entirety of Ligue 3. While this provides more access to lower-tier football, the service has faced technical criticism regarding image quality and production stability. To address these issues, the platform plans to improve production conditions for multiplex matches in the coming weeks.

Ligue 1+ will also introduce 4K HDR broadcasting, though this will be limited to only 10 high-profile matches throughout the season, including major fixtures involving Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille, and Olympique Lyonnais. This Ultra HD service will be available through specific providers such as Orange, SFR, Amazon Prime Video, and Molotov.
