Ligue 1 McDonald's expands media reach via Ligue 1+ and global deals

Ligue 1 McDonald's is expanding its media presence through new domestic and international broadcasting strategies for the 2026/2027 season. Domestically, the Ligue 1+ platform has achieved exclusivity, consolidating 100% of championship matches onto a single service. The platform will offer over 25 hours of live content per weekend, including Ultra HD broadcasts for major matches and access to Ligue 3 Betclic.

Internationally, LFP Media has secured agreements to broadcast the league across 215 territories in 44 languages via 53 partners. Key developments include a partnership with JioStar in India to reach hundreds of millions of subscribers through JioHotstar and the Star Sports Network. In Indonesia, the league will be available via the Emtek group's streaming platform, Vidio. Additionally, Sky will broadcast championship highlights in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
