Ligue Nationale de Rugby announces 126.5 million euro revenue distribution

The Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) has released the specific details of its revenue redistribution for the 2025-2026 season, marking the first time the organization has disclosed club-by-club breakdowns. A total of 126.5 million euros will be distributed among 30 professional French clubs, with 70% allocated to Top 14 teams and 30% to the 16 clubs in Pro D2.

Stade Toulousain is set to receive the highest amount at 8.6 million euros, followed by Union Bordeaux-Bègles with 7.4 million euros and Section Paloise with 6.8 million euros. In the Pro D2 division, payouts are more uniform, ranging from 2.1 million euros for Biarritz to 3 million euros for the French champion, Vannes. Other clubs, such as SA XV and Provence Rugby, are slated to receive 2.2 million euros.

The LNR stated that the distribution model is built on three core principles: solidarity, sporting meritocracy, and incentives for investment in training and infrastructure. Specifically, solidarity accounts for 52% of distributed revenue in the Top 14 and 62% in Pro D2, while sporting meritocracy and investment incentives make up the remaining portions.
