Liguria allocates 614,000 euros for new domestic violence shelters
The Liguria Region has announced a new allocation of 614,000 euros to third-sector organizations for the creation of new domestic violence shelters for women and their children. This funding, sourced from ministerial resources dedicated to rights and equal opportunities, aims to strengthen the regional protection network and provide safe environments for victims fleeing dangerous situations.
This initiative complements a previous measure of 556,268 euros directed toward municipal administrations. Simona Ferro, the Vice President of Liguria with a mandate for equal opportunities, stated that the goal is to increase support opportunities and ensure timely responses for women needing to escape violence.
